Recent studies of Lake Koshkonong region Oneota sites have produced a number of large data sets including chronology, landscape and environmental use, paleobotanic and zooarchaeoological remains, architectural styles, lithic, ceramic, metal and bone technologies, and mortuary remains. These data sets allow UWM students to build on Hall's and Overstreet's works to provide a larger and more detailed examination of social interactions during the 11th through 14th centuries in southeastern Wisconsin. Economics, trade, warfare, cosmology and politics will be discussed in the context of recent excavations and survey discoveries.
